The Gibson heritage of quality and performance sets the standard for the exhaust industry to follow. Gibson's commitment to improving and developing new exhaust systems provides the broadest range and best-engineered systems available today. As a company pledged to provide excellent customer service and technical support, Gibson understands the need for quality products at an affordable price.
The Gibson research and developement department utilizing cad cam software provides a constant flow of new products and innovation to meet the demands of modern vehicles.
Gibson's new product development is a result of our commitment to performance products that deliver results. We design our products that deliver results. Gibson designs products in their fully equiped R&D center woth multiple engine and chassis dynos along with flow and bench and audio test equipment. Each new component must pass both a quality and performance evaluation prior to a manufacturing commitment.
POWER
Gibson delivers it's power in the 2000 to 4000 RPM range. Other competitive systems claim more power by using the higher 5000 to 6000 RPM range... this RPM range is never used by street vehicles and seldom by high performance vehicles.
TURBULENCE
..exists at every point the exhaust gas 'pulse' enters or exits am exhaust component. Gibson reduces turbulence to the absolute minimum in two ways. First, Gibson mufflers reduce turbulence with it's patented Superflow™ design which assists the exhaust gas in its flow out of the system. Second, and most important in the reduction of turbulence is Gibson's 'slip fit' joining of all components. Meaning each pipe fits into the larger opening of the next down stream exhaust pipe. This method contributes little turbulence when compared to 'ball and socket' or 'flange and gasket' joining which can create substantial power robbing back-pressure and turbulence at each component or joint. Or worse, a misaligned gasket or socket can ctually create more back-pressure than your current stock system.
